Treating January like I would Monday. Trying my best to start the year strong with a solid foundation. Continuing the good habits I already have in place and creating new good habits so my goals stay on track.

Not gonna lie I hate cooking and Amazon is my bestie. So have few tips I use to curb the impulse shopping.

This savings tip keeps my impulse buying or emotional buying down. Anytime I get the urge to buy something online I don’t really need I transfer the cost of the item into my savings account.

This helps me for a few easons.

1. The money is no longer in my checking account. Seeing the cost of the item leave my account shows me if it was really worth it.

2. Savings balance increases. After I seeing the lower balance I tend to not be interested in the item anymore.

3. Even if you have a budget for fun spending and entertainment there is no harm in saving more for long term goals . This savings trick can be helpful if have hard time sticking to your budget as well.

We all got to start somewhere so do what works for you and aligns with your financial goals.

10 days into 2021 we are clearly in for another wild ride.

Few things that keeps me motivated is knowing that my mindset, commitment , and focus on my personal peace and goals will pay off in the long run. Sometimes you got shut the world out and focus on you.

Your mindset matters do what you got to do to keep going. At the end of the day all we can only control how we react.

Currently I am trying to find my creative groove, focusing on money management and not sacrificing self care.

Do you have a goal that has carried over year after year ? Do you have an idea that constantly resurfaces but you just haven't been organized enough to make the next move to complete your goal?

I can totally relate to that. I think it is so easy to get caught up in big goals that you forget to make tangible smaller goals to help keep the motivation alive.

I know that with the new year there is a bunch of hype over goal setting. The truth is hype and ideation only get you so far.

Always remember why you started and never forget to enjoy the process.

I had “ deep” caption planned today about goal setting. Until getting the results to my top 9 Instagram posts for 2020 changed my mind.Only 2 of the top 9 captions had actual “deep” long captions. Two posts had no caption at all basically. So either what I write sucks or y’all liked the photos that much. Either way I need to step up my content game. Which is what I was doing anyway . But my top 9 is very telling. Any other creators feel this way ... just me .. okay 🤪🤷🏽‍♀️😫. So long story short your getting my in the moment thoughts and my other post will come another day lol. My mind is crazy.

First day of 2021.

I don’t believe a new year should be the benchmark for any type of pivot in life. I focus on making little and big changes everyday.

However ,sometimes it’s nice to see the official turn of a new page.
